Tech Support maven, big huge Guster Fan, i love dogs and stuff. Refusing to call it Gulf of America because that screws up the lyrics to "Up On Cripple Creek," and I will die on that hill.
what a gift this morning. i've been in a crap mood for days and just hearing malfunction junction lifted me.

TDCs are the best.

thanks NPR!

early Gen-Xer here and I'm with you. Goddamn that song, that man, so good. so very good.

"tito, hand me a tissue."
December 10, 2025 at 2:36 PM
damn you brought me back to 1976, brother
December 10, 2025 at 2:33 PM
and they were goddamn right. otherwise it is just plain macaroni by itself and that's not any good.

kudos to whomsoever brainchilded this into existence.

I would go see Joyce Carol Goats in concert for sure.

when i read this i thought to myself, how effin' hard is it to find a human female host.

then i read a story about 2 female DJs at MPR's "The Current" who have been RELENTLESSLY stalked, threatened, etc. and thought...

if that's what guys are gonna do, protect the ladies, give 'em a robot.

We should all be paying Phish.

He wants us to dress up too, in our finest frockery and high heels. To do pull ups.

My fit bit is always very happy when I am 3 hour early, just in case security is a 2.5 hour ordeal.

He is wickedly out of his depth.

lololollllll
this and the Canyonero
"Can you name the truck with 4-wheel drive,
smells like a steak and seats thirty-five?
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down,
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown!"

the endorsed by a clown part points to Sec. Duffy, lol

this is always my favorite headline and the entire news article associated with it. I read it out loud sometimes and just start laughing my ass off.

the baby shoes one gets me every time.

thanks B.
I hope this was a meaningful event for you in 2025. Thanks for being a pal all these years.

here's to 2026.
December 3, 2025 at 7:30 PM
and this is why i will forever mention to everyone to go watch it. forever.
December 3, 2025 at 7:28 PM
thanks!
it was truly wonderful to see them at the office, behind the desk, and get YEM and a couple bonus tracks. Loved "Evolve" and "Sigma Oasis" with the nod to ATC's theme.

I feel like they get better and better... so happy to live in the same timeline as Phish and Guster!

My first Phish concert was the tiny desk!
www.npr.org/2024/07/17/g...
strangely for as in my wheelhouse as they are, I've never gone to a full show. That'll probably change this summer. I have a phish super-fan friend who is insisting on me being by his side for one.

Phish:Myke :: Guster:Christine
Phish: Tiny Desk Concert
The beloved jam band plays a handful of classics and new tracks at the Desk.

I know none of their newer stuff and I think the last time I saw them was in 1988.

Glad my kid makes up for my lazy fandom.
December 3, 2025 at 3:34 PM
well, i didn't watch/listen to the TDC on the spotify thingie. I watched through the NPR website. Which reminds me it is time to signal boost the episode, for analytics and stuff. and because people should watch it 1000000 times before the end of the year!
December 3, 2025 at 3:30 PM
especially this.
this is kind of the big important thing. there's no way he was so busy he didn't "follow" the news. he has advisers, people who tell him stuff, keep him up to speed.

his pants are on fire.
December 3, 2025 at 3:28 PM
my new flex:
"I was very busy yesterday."

I'll use this all the time now for when I'm not getting work done or whatever.

This is gold.
