I have until Friday to raise about 2300 if I’m going to be able to keep the car I just bought because of the way the dealership hoodwinked me. Literally every dollar helps. This is the only way I’ll be able to keep the job I got literally yesterday. Please share. Spread the word. I really need help.

they were never going to stop at legislating bathrooms, they will not stop at legislating children, they most certainly will continue going for all of us. this is NOT a “distraction”

I just finished writing the first episode of a podcast after spending almost two months doing nothing but planning (timelines, plot holes, characters, episode order, etc.) and gods. i forgot what the rush of Actually Finishing Something is like. I should do it more often.

i appreciate folks trying to help by sending job listings, but what i need are connections. i have applied to nearly 200 jobs over the last year and change and i have heard back from a tiny fraction of them. it’s hard out there for anyone, but especially hard when you’re trans

I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.

Still here, still trans, still a woman, and no executive order can change who I am.

BREAKING: We’re suing the Trump administration to block the president’s attempt to end birthright citizenship.

An executive order does not have the power to override the Constitution.

It’s terrifying to be a trans person right now. I’m still struggling to find the words to describe how I’m feeling. I’m working on a tragic horror project right now, and I suspect that’s one of the only genres that I will be able to fully express this feeling in. It’s resounding and numb and awful.

sometimes you have to things that “won’t matter.” sometimes you have to do things even though they won’t care. sometimes knowing that YOU did the right thing matters more than other people doing the wrong thing.

Marginalized people in the United States don't deserve fascism. That's the thing. Indigenous people didn't ask to have their land stolen by an empire. Black people largely didn't ask to come here. Many immigrants didn't have any other choice BUT to come here.

I'm uncomfortable with the inevitable "his work was always crap" because it seems to say "you can tell who the predators are by how well they write" and ... no no you absolutely cannot, that's the whole point.

I am a former incarcerated firefighter. I served in a California fire camp from 2009 to 2012.

Misinformation is afire on the internet, so here are facts about the prison firefighter program, all in one place.

A thread.

a tech company changing their policies to be more consumer-friendly just because you're such a monumental piece of garbage is an impressive feat
Just a heads up for peeps, if you bought a Neil Gaiman audiobook from Audible, they are allowing refunds for them with no questions asked and no matter how long ago you bought them. I don’t even have an active subscription and they gave me credits back for two titles purchased in 2020.
