The Met Office global average temperature forecast for 2026 suggests another year above 1.4 °C compared to pre-industrial levels (1850-1900), being the fourth year in succession exceeding 1.4 °C. Prior to this surge, the global temperature has never exceeded 1.3 °C.

Recent research reveals that deep-sea mining could dramatically threaten 30 species of sharks, rays, and ghost sharks whose habitats overlap with proposed mining zones, further endangering species already at risk of extinction.

Among the places with Highest positive temperature anomalies this month we have GREENLAND

For example so far this month the average temperature at Narsarsuaq has been +2.9C which is a whopping +8.4C above the 1991/2020 norm and it's even 1C warmer than its OCTOBER average:Crazy

The latest UK Hydrological Summary has been published 🌧️
November was UK's wettest month so far in 2025 & many areas have shifted from drought concerns to flood risk.

Groundwater levels notably low and reservoir levels still below average in parts. Winter rainfall amount will be crucial.

Plastic tape (eg Sellotape) isn't recyclable – and if you put tape-covered wrapping paper in the recycling bin, it can contaminate the paper recycling. Using recyclable paper tape is one solution.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports #renewables now 10 times more efficient than new nuclear at CO2 #climate mitigation. Build times for new #nuclear are massively longer than for #solar and #wind. Nuclear costs always ramp.
