I am watching ep 1 of FoF and can't get over how different Hou Minghao looks compared to Love/Clouds. In LitC his face is soft, unlined, youthful. In FoF is he is lined, drawn, his cheeks hollow, jaw heavier. Injectables? Fillers? Jaw recontouring? Or just makeup?

Stoppard co-wrote Shakespeare in Love. It erases Will's queerness (argh) but it swirls with life, art & passion. Will is a hack writer (Romeo & Ethel The Pirate's Daughter) till he feels love, then loss. From passion, from the marriage of mind and heart, an artist is born.

All my life people have thought my eyes were brown, instead of this lovely toxic algae sludge hazel. For ease of ID at airport passport control, on my passport renewal form I guess I'll continue with the brown ruse.

Have a cold & am watching Love in the Clouds. As usual, I FF through subplots & repetitive scenes, & focus on characters I like. Haven't seen so many young men who look like anime or manga characters come to life, or maybe they're all AI creations, b4. There were 2 in LBFAD but LITC has 4 & counting

Love this. Stephen Fry is playing Lady Bracknell in a London production. Though Edith Evans will always BE Lady Bracknell, she's amazing. Also amazing: how few queer people have seen, or heard of, this seminal queer work.
