Happy #FossilFriday! This is a giant millipede (Arthropleura) trail at Laggan on the Isle of Arran. With thanks to my son for highlighting it in the photo! #Arran

Arran is beautiful - I grew up there and now have a holiday home. Jellyfish are seasonal (same as everywhere in the UK) - there tend to be most in late August. There were lots this summer, but other years you get far fewer. Lots of sandy beaches inc Whiting Bay, Brodick, Kilmory, Kildonan (1/2)

Woollies is a great option for a pie, sandwich or cake to take onboard if you do end up on the Alfred. Àlso Copper wheats is close enough to grab a coffee before boarding

Some new castle visits on our trip to the Isle of Arran and Scotland recently. This is Lochranza Castle, a beautifully sited L plan tower house mainly dating from the 16th century. A bucket list trip for me, and was not disappointed! 🙂
