It’s been more than 20 days since I last purchased anything from Target. I and majority of my friends would shop there day one of Black History Month to buy their merch and find new creators to buy from. So yah. Hope they enjoy the rewards of bending to a Wonna Be King.

Most importantly the grief I’ve been working through of losing my Mama and sister six months apart is more manageable. I still sob like a baby a few times a week but it’s no longer set in stone on my daily schedule.

I haven’t touched a lick of likka since NYE. Not even for celebratory occasions I bow out. More water, cursing at my online trainers at 5 a.m. followed by meditation because I didn’t mean it. 🫣🫣 My waist is slimmer. My abs are popping out again. My biceps and triceps have returned.

All it took was for Auntie to post a picture on Facebook a few weeks ago for me to realize how much weight I had put on since my Mama passed away last year. Coach looked like giant teapot. The photo was from Thanksgiving, exactly 8 months since her passing. I’ve been going hard in the paint since.

Today I woke up not feeling like myself for the umpteenth time since all the passings of loved ones over the last year. So I took a hold of how lost I felt and called off work and slept a majority of the day. I feel the same but more rested.

You can catch me about 2-3x a week happily sweeping, vacuuming, mopping. All kinds of cIeaning. I like to break the work up into days so that a weekend clean is complete before the afternoon no matter what time I start in the morning. But that laundry life.

All of the inventions over the years and no one has figured out how to make laundry folding easier? Not that folding thing is necessarily hard but my attention span for it.
