In notifying publishers of the decision to sunset the JCS, we did encourage them to consider making their data publicly available on their websites, following the PLOS example. Regarding further evaluation (beyond the numbers), we do not plan to conduct any.

Update: cOAlition S will sunset the Journal Comparison Service (JCS) in April 2025 due to limited adoption. Code will be available open source.
