I'm taking this stand. As a tran person & parent of a trans person. I'm with #simonebiles not throwing a lovely person under a bus. She's literally open to listening, and calling out transphobia. DId she get it ALL right? Nope just Not here for demonizing allies. Even imperfect ones.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

#thisisamerica For the record I agree with the sentiment. ICE is a blight on our social fabric. I'm also not going down some "but the violence" BS rhetoric. The point is that we have come to a place where we have very few avenues that don't lead us to OG cold war Russia very quickly.
