Mr. President, thank you so much for having us here today and holding this roundtable. Antifa is real. Antifa has been around in various iterations for almost 100 years in some instances, going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany. And it's now been just under one month since we saw a far leftist murder Charlie Kirk. And we saw thousands upon thousands of people, other far leftists and people in positions of authority, people like nurses and pilots and doctors and HR departments celebrating the death and the murder of Charlie Kirk. The sickness that's out there is absolutely real. And Mr. President, thank you for mentioning it.

It's not hiding, it's in video. The exact quote is "he was probably a nice guy, to some people, in public." We explicitly say there were "two public versions" of him. We start describing one version so that viewers who knew that version would be more open to hearing about the other, actual version.

I just very plainly explained to you the intention and meaning behind the actual quote, which included the clause "if you think gun violence in this country is a tragedy." Clunky maybe, but there's no "bit" to buy. You are simply choosing to ignore the words and explanation for no reason.

Perhaps we weren't explicit enough, but I think people are conflating what we called the tragedy of gun violence in America with Kirk being dead. Nowhere did we say that anyone had to feel bad about his death or him being dead and in fact I thought we explained why people might feel good about it.
