More than a week ago, Ohio HS sports lost a great man in Jerry Collins. Not only did he officiate basketball and baseball for @ohsaasports.bsky.social at the highest level, he was a mainstay for Logan Elm football games on the chain gain.

1. If Joe Burrow’s 2023 ended after 10 games, would he technically be eligible for Comeback Player of the Year?
2. Damar Hamlin definitely deserved the award last year. So why was he nominated for this year? He didn’t miss a game in ‘23 or ‘24.
