R: "are you willing to commute or relocate to [town 2 hours away from me and 3x as expensive]?"
Me: "Well, what salary is being offered?"
R: "I'm able to offer $23 an hour."

So it's fucking insane looking into ACTUAL engineering jobs in Canada and seeing I'm fucking qualified for many of them, unlike the job postings in the US who all want 5+ years of hyper specific experience plus an EIT for a low level design position that pays $60,000 a year.
