I would guess over-torq from the look of it, but I have also seen collars with lips that extended past the inside of the frame tube and put point-stress on the post

My recent racing history has a few unfinished courses in it, Rather than lament getting lost, I am actively looking to improve the things that make it more likely to finish. Navigation has been a big challenge for me. I was skilled enough with a map and compass, but the modern world has placed all sorts of handy devices in our hands that in theory allow us to follow a route with ease.

at least it looks like you caught it before major injuries

We buy Cheerios, big kid eats 1kg of them per day, and they are cheaper than all his other favourite foods

I would like the 4-drink-minimum removed from quad driving

I have ridden that trail, or rather the railbed, and it sort-of goes from red deer (several missing bridges) all the way to Nordegg, it's mostly rideable from Benalto to Rocky, with the exception of a couple of spots where it drops you onto highway 11.
There are lots of quads

I tend to get caught up in the joy of the ride and go a bit faster than this. I usually just change my shirt when I get to work

I feel like sending folks to jail, or home-jail, is doing less good than making offenders pay for the intersection to be rebuilt for safety. (Redesigned, not the tree trimmed to make a smaller shadow)

Cycling's a boon in winter, too.
Turns out the winter weather wasn't the obstacle, maintenance and design were.

Are you in favour of separated bike lanes, or are you against child safety?

Saw the most innovative addict today, she was too bent over to see where she was going on her stolen bike. So she used her phone as a periscope to ride

Maybe we could use the cash to pay for safer road design, discourage speeding with design, and the photo radar will collect less and people will be safer

Excellent commentary on the role electric bikes can play in reducing the need for personal vehicles. But also talks about how crummy and overpowered e bikes (& quasi-motorcycles) are dangerous & negatively impact safety and perception. theconversation.com/... #yyc #yyccc #yycbike
E-bikes could slash our reliance on cars – but overpowered illegal models on the roads make us all less safe
Conquering hills, commuting without a sweat and carrying cargo – e-bikes encourage more people to get out of their cars.

Music can send me in either direction, good music will reset and soothe me, but even a couple of notes from some bands is worse to me than being punched.

I found my trailer was frustrating when the kids had any kind of issues, it was hard to work out sibling disagreements, snacks and other problems when the kids were 3 feet or more behind me.
My cargo bike is a flatbed with a bolt-on box, and it works out well now that the kids are adults

I have asked a couple of questions that I knew the answer to, and I also have customers telling me how chatbot wants me to fix their bikes. The "AI" always doubles down on its assertions.

The new god is no better than the old gods at choosing guitars or fixing bicycles.

Disturbing story, of which I’m sure there are many, in which ChatGPT pulls a guy ever deeper down a delusional rabbit hole, rebuffing his multiple attempts to do a reality check. www.nytimes.com/2025/08/08/t...

Cool, I know all the bicyclists in Calgary!

Also, since I have used a couple of the 1 block sections of bike lane that have been built in Marda Loop, I am the 1 resident who uses them.

Anyone else I see on a bike doesn't exist, they said so in the herald.

Do you have this t-shirt in stock in men's XL?

The Marda Loop construction has made it difficult for me to walk to some of my favourite local businesses, sometimes having to detour several blocks. Also, several of the area businesses also had to contend with rents that doubled.
Funny how the article makes no mention of this, only bike lanes

Sure, we’ll get your bike (not actually broken)! overhauled tonight, we’ll put the night shift on it. We always have bike mechanics on standby in case you want to go for a ride, and didn’t plan your maintenance
