I have been to actual failed or failing states.

Britain has its problems, especially for a place as rich as we are and with a long history of democratic reform.

But it’s nowhere near “broken”

And this Labour govt is not even getting the “politicothink” right. Keep misjudging political reactions.

I’ve just been reading about the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

One analysis suggests that Kennedy and his advisors concentrated on “politicothink” - how well would it play politically.

Rather than would it work? Sound familiar?

It’s also time we considered denying Russian warships right of passage between Dover and Calais?

I have just spent two days detangling a new, long set of lights which had been covering our holly hedge. A delivery van had hooked them, snapped them and tangled them.
After hours spent on them I find only half now work. I "may" put them away carefully

That’s exactly what we did last year, made life SO much easier this year. We also labelled each set of lights as well with colour and location. My Swiss ancestors would be so proud of me.
