...."plan".....they mean the Nobel Plan?
catus14.bsky.social
I used it qiute often perviously, but found it confused my topys
catus14.bsky.social
Yep, I had 2 Shakespeare, Dickens, Chaucer and "Modern" poetry.....
catus14.bsky.social
That doesn't narrow it down....more of a qualification than a name
catus14.bsky.social
Nope....they are "reducing" it from £63.12 to £63, from Novemeber, then increasing it in March each year....I've read it 4 times, have no idea (it's a VIP Offer!!!!!).
catus14.bsky.social
Perhaps someone from BT can explain how their renewal offer isn't a lie.

£63.00 a month for 24 months
From 31 March 2026 £67.00
From 31 March 2027 £71.00
catus14.bsky.social
Yep, but that would stop them using the flags to make people they don't like feel unwelcome.....
catus14.bsky.social
Increasingly shrill, but still, rightly, ignored
catus14.bsky.social
Same here. Idiots put up 100 or so a month ago. Council took them down. Back up the next week. Who pays?
catus14.bsky.social
I'm still confused about what Labour could do about it "now". Work on improving relations?...done. Rejoin European institutions?...done. Say we'll stay in the ECHR?....done. Ask to rejoin while Reform/Brexit Tories may win the 29 GE?....do you think the EU have time to waste?
catus14.bsky.social
Yep, you begin to wonder how many national leaders Russia has supported into power, bribed, or blackmailed to have gained & retained the influence they have, despite their crumbling economy and outdated fear-driven military

Similarly, I have to admire advertising agencies that manage to sell adverts for 5 bedroom luxury houses that pop up, irritatingly, on Wordle. Who buys a house based on a pop-up advert, especially one that annoys you?
catus14.bsky.social
My theory is that Tories believe he should be "one of them", and dislike him for his "tribal disloyalty"
catus14.bsky.social
Bluntly, I suspect that anyone in the Trump administration caught talking to a Black, Foreign, Woman would be sacked
catus14.bsky.social
There are many, many people who both financially &/or ideologically will hold onto power after Trump dies, & have money & the power of the media to make sure they can.
Germany & Italy 1930-45 were influenced by the Fuhrer/Duce images until the enemy was at the door. Not sure of the US equivalent
catus14.bsky.social
Hitler died because the Allies were at his door. Mussolini died when the Allies/Resistance were at the door. Stalin died and 3 years later one of his ex-henchmen stood and said he was wrong. When Trump dies....his handlers will just carry on, with another "Face"
catus14.bsky.social
Does Murdoch pay extra for completely weird anti-Labour insinuations like this? Did Reeves ring Cherie and say "sell now", or did Cherie's advisers say "reading the press, it may be a good time to sell"?
catus14.bsky.social
Clarkson is unpleasant, not an idiot
catus14.bsky.social
Even as someone who remembers sweets coming off ration, Fry's Turkish Delight was the last resort, given by the Aunties you didn't really like
catus14.bsky.social
Probably, but never sure of Trump's memory/understanding in the moment he speaks.
If it's "enemy within" territory you have to wonder about him admitting taking 4 years as POTUS without recognizing that
catus14.bsky.social
Has anyone from the media asked any of "his Cabinet" if they are worried about Trump forgetting the FBI had been "his" for 4 years by Jan 6th?
catus14.bsky.social
To be fair, his first sentence there has the ring of truth. After that....rubbish
catus14.bsky.social
It's good to see Murdoch back trying to be seen to help Trump....fear of mutual destruction?
