The vacuum needs a little of the redirection you give your home vacuum (whose name I can't remember).

It's as incomprehensible to me as figuring out how much is $ trillion ... I'm far from an expert on history & international relations, but can't help wonder if the US chaos (lack of well-contained hegemony) has unleashed this. I don't support the US Hx, but did fear of their response restrain?

And now I read of yet another genocide in Myanmar.

Could there be a link to media misinformation distractions and despots filling the void of truthful information? (It's not as if it hasn't been written about from copious viewpoints; simply not trumpeted on front pages worldwide.)

Separate the emotions from the behaviour. You can't un-feel emotions, and trying to do so takes enormous effort. Acknowledge them, sit with them, and decide how best to respond. This reflective process takes effort, energy and time to develop; but makes the responses much easier.

A different perspective: Anger is good. It's important to acknowledge the emotion and understand why you feel it (often a mis-match with your expectations or values). It's an effective driver of change and personal growth. It's not good when your response to anger is the behaviour of violence.

Sudan, Gaza, Ukraine. On home soil we have increased poverty and homelessness coupled with unaffordable "universal" health care ... the media dishes up columns, yet again, on fake autism causes & the LNPs rantings. So hard to not despair of our future.

I'll never forget having 2 over-tired toddlers on an overnight flight to UK, climbing everywhere while everyone was trying to sleep. I was at the end of my tether when a 50ish gent got up to go to the loo, stopped by me to say "I think you're doing a fabulous job". And then walked off. A lifesaver!

Same same. It’s a long and growing list that the NACC has done nothing to shorten or curtail

Add in Covid and public health. The long tail cost - both human and financial- of the last 5 years will be enormous
