listening to chicago leads to some difficult thoughts. chicago is allright. everything is tight, and it's good in the way that a bunch of studio musicians might jam together after having met an hour beforehand. peter cetera though is s-tier shit and takes the band as high as it can realistically go.

There is a post circulating on Bluesky encouraging the moving of a frozen turkey straight into a pot of hot oil. We are combating this misinformation the best way we know how - through the power of dance music.

and now that i have broken a plate i've decided to cook some chicken thighs. i've already had dinner. don't care.

i'm working on a Handbook for the Recently Divorced. it's gonna be a banger. packed with lots of things like the chicken thighs.

i bought a cheap timex quartz wristwatch because my apple watch was making me tired -- i felt like i was always adjusting it or dealing with notifications. i've got to say, i love this thing. i never have to charge it. it doesn't beep at me. the battery will last for years.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

for me, it's not only that it's just unquestioningly repulsive, but that the character of our nation is so corrupted that many people celebrate it. it's just a thought that only leads to worse thoughts.
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

usps mail forwarding has been a terrible experience. i've gotten many more things forwarded incorrectly, things just lost, and more. but still, i'm not even mad. when's the last time anything good arrived via usps? we should pay them more.

it's a shame that apple ai does not allow you to ask questions about a conversation in messages. that would be incredibly helpful. maybe it's because the models are run on device and are not capable of doing that? it doesn't seem like a huge lift from an outsider's perspective.
