Why are we going against people in our own party so much?

All I'm saying is that if I had billions of dollars I'd be trying to feed more kids, keep more kids vaccinated and healthy, looking for ways to give people good paying jobs, protect the country and the environment, and generally do good, instead of, like, being evil.

The US should test run aspects of a universal healthcare system. I propose that they pick a week or month, without telling us, and in that time frame they will pay for everyone’s healthcare costs. People won’t need to pay copays, deductibles, etc., either. I wonder if that would move the needle?

Understand that I’m not calling for violence; I’m just asking a question, but I wonder if that same justification can be used by folks who have claims denied by health insurance companies?

Was talking with my wife last night, and she brought up the subject of Dollar Tree. After talking about it for a minute or so, she wondered if they had stores like Dollar Tree in the UK. Then she asked what those stores might be called, and without skipping a beat she said “Pound Town”. Love it.

Does anyone wonder whether or not the election would have turned out differently had the Democrats underscored the importance of the SCOTUS possibly having two justices retiring in the next four years? If Harris had been elected we could have had a majority in the court again.

New to Bluesky; needed a change from the cesspool that the other site has become, especially now since TFG got elected. I’m a liberal atheist in Colorado; I’m a Red Sox fan, and I enjoy working out. Hopefully Bluesky will be a nice change from the other app formally known as Twitter.
