The Lower Decks crew in an X-Men homage? Hell friggin’ yeah.

Light week but got some sweet variants, including an Amazing Spidey with foil webbing & maybe the coolest Absolute Bats cover yet. If you’re not reading Absolute Bats you’re missing out! Here’s hoping the new Spidey storyline is better than 8 Deaths, which ended up disappointing

Picked up a couple of excellent variant covers by Dan Panosian. Especially love the Resurrection Man cover, and I’m extra stoked about this miniseries. I’ve got the entire RM run from the ‘90s and always thought it was underrated.

This is going to crater our already-strained relationship with Middle Earth.

What a week for comics! Haven’t read them all yet, but Absolute Martian Manhunter was a trip (both story and art).

This book has been one of the biggest surprises thus far. I’ve missed a TON of symbiote-related stuff & frankly it looks like symbiote overload, but Eddie bonded to Carnage intrigued me. I’m hooked & Jesus Saiz’s art is icing on the cake.

Bernie Wrightson was a master.

Gotham was one of my first stops when getting back into comics, and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Chip Zdarsky’s run, and fell in love with Jorge Jimenez’s art. Looking forward to Hush 2, but also to Jimenez’s return in the fall.

Love me some Hellboy.

Doctor Doom has always been one of my favorite comic book characters. Classic design, plus he’s not your average baddie. He’s trying to do good, in his own twisted way, as this series deftly demonstrates. It’s fantastic so far.
