Today the flag of the Pitcairn Islands is flying in New Palace Yard to mark Bounty Day - which commemorates the anniversary of the mutiny on the British ship HMS Bounty in 1789.

Located in the southern Pacific Ocean, this British Overseas Territory is one of the most remote communities on earth.

Today, I made a statement in the Chamber of the House of Commons following the recent death of Sir Patrick Duffy. Aged 105, he was the oldest living former MP and the last Second World War veteran to have served in Parliament.

Tonight, parliamentary and Jewish communities gathered for a Chanukah service in Westminster Hall.

We shared a silence to remember the victims and loved ones of the appalling terror attack in Sydney. The Lord Speaker and I lit the menorah. May light triumph over darkness.
