On the bright side, I could more easily do a 4x8 layout in HO scale...
Compared to needing something like a 5x10 to get 2 good loops in O scale...

I wish I didn't have to fully unplug the Lionel controller to turn it off
Oh well, on my actual layout I'll have them plugged into a power strip I can turn on and off, so it'll be simpler

Used some isopropyl alcohol to clean off the rails and the contacts on the engine, but it still runs a little rough (though slightly less-so now), so I assume the grease in the gears is probably real old and gunking it up
So some grease for the gears is the next thing on my "to buy" list lol
