It’s heartbreaking to think of anyone sleeping rough at Christmas.

Dude did a fake presidential run to build interest in a media company, accidentally became the president, accidentally committed a bunch of crimes because he's stupid, then had to try to become the president a second time so he wouldn't go to jail and it worked
a) this is pathetic regime shit from CBS.

b) this is genuinely his dream, he would so much rather be a TV host than president.

2025 is set to be the UK's hottest since records began.

Scientists are clear that changes to our climate are unprecedented and the result of burning fossil fuels.

The government's climate policies must be led by the science, not by climate deniers and their friends from the fossil-fuel lobby.

Amazing that @maryannehobbs.bsky.social is playing the whole of David Sylvian & Holger Czukay's Plight on #radio6music at the moment. Such a beguiling & beautiful piece of music, for years I used to meditate & go to sleep to this but haven't heard it in ages.

Why we need to tax the super rich more.

Their wealth is growing MUCH faster than everyone else's.

And they're using it to outbid you for real resources: housing, assets, healthcare, education and everything else of real value.

At the heart of UK cost of living crisis is high energy costs via bizarre mechanism that makes our bills higher than they need to be. We allow global price of gas to set the price we pay for our own, domestically produced green energy.

Had my #flujab weeks ago - I get advance hassling by the #nhs on account of my asthma.

Was still wondering whether I should've worn a mask on the train this morning. Usually cycle to work but today is Xmas party day so I took public transport.

I think we should consider banning people worth more than, say, £10 million from entering the UK. Or charge them an entrance fee equivalent to their current wealth minus £10 million.

My free advice to this couple? Instead of paying £47k a year in school fees and scraping by, stick 15k a year in each kid's bank account so that they each have around £100k at age 18 to spend on a house, business or uni. You then have £17k/year leftover to spend on luxuries. Better life all round
