In Media, Culture & Society, I define “algorithmically imagined audiences." I examine how TikTokers politically engage with algorithms to position themselves within imagined audiences. While impactful, these practices have conceptual and practical limits.

In Feminist Media Studies, Rachel Winter and I examine anti-feminism on Instagram. We demonstrate how branding, a gendered form of labor that puts women at disproportionate risk, is also used by anti-feminist and misogynistic collectives. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
