In Buckley v. Valeo, the Supreme Court says that whether an individual wields significant authority informs the assessment of whether that person is an officer of the USA. Musk is acting as an officer of the USA. He is subject to the Appointments Clause, and he is currently operating illegally.

A Black man just beat the record for the longest filibuster, defeating the record previously held by a man who filibustered the literal Civil Rights Act.

As the time ticked over, Cory Booker announced he did it not out of hatred for who he opposed, but out of love for those who supported him.

Just remember all this if there is a catastrophic intelligence failure under this administration. Because they will *immediately* try to crush dissent and offload blame.

Judge Chuang is mulling whether to grant a preliminary injunction in a suit alleging that DOGE violates the Appointments Clause.

He asked the government to file documents that reflect who authorized certain actions related to the dismantling of USAID.

Some of the responses are..interesting. 1/

Fantastically detailed, step-by-step telling of the DOGE takeover, with each agency falling like dominoes as the minions moved in. "Initially turned away for lack of security clearance, they came back with a handwritten note...from the Executive Office of the President saying they were suitable"
Inside Elon Musk’s ‘Digital Coup’
Musk’s loyalists at DOGE have infiltrated dozens of federal agencies, pushed out tens of thousands of workers, and siphoned millions of people’s most sensitive data. The next step: Unleash the AI.
