That movie was spoiled for me and it STILL completely fucking shook me when I sat down to see it anyway. Completely anxiety-inducing, claustrophobic, and monstrous. It's so good.

You can supposedly, like seals (which you could find in the Mediterranean) find them in some more remote places, but compared to what it used to be in that part of Europe, it's nothing.

Wild hogs use to be VERY prevalent in a lot of regions in Greece and one of the reasons they got basically hunted out was because of how dangerous they were to herdsmen and farmers in remote fields. And they'd get BIG out there.

I think the fact that it’s one book that’s been turned into/remade as a dirty movie with weird artsy pretensions, over and over (one came out last year!) more than anything is made me feel that.
