When I had pneumonia for all of July ‘23 the only thing that made me feel capable of getting off the couch was the great heaping prescription of steroids I got (first round of roids and antibiotics did nothing). Magic drugs would take again.

Maybe this is just me but I definitely read "gentle encouragement" type replies, especially "don't give up!" type stuff as _really condescending_ especially re: publishing. I am a professional. I have had 8 novels published and worked with 4 different publishers.

Paladin series would be tough shipping to Canada as in the US I've been doing them media mail. When I looked at int'l shipping for this kind of package it was _steep_, like starting at $40 for shipping alone.
