When I had pneumonia for all of July ‘23 the only thing that made me feel capable of getting off the couch was the great heaping prescription of steroids I got (first round of roids and antibiotics did nothing). Magic drugs would take again.

BREAKING

In a new video, Dolly Parton, the Queen of America, says she’s going to be ok.

If I say "I do not think I can do X to the standard I think is necessary" _you should accept that statement at face value_

Maybe this is just me but I definitely read "gentle encouragement" type replies, especially "don't give up!" type stuff as _really condescending_ especially re: publishing. I am a professional. I have had 8 novels published and worked with 4 different publishers.

same guy also aired shit about his manager not playing him because....guess what, he sucks

that dude has cold SUCKED this year, an AVERAGE baserunner with any instincts would've beat out the throw on that wheel play, and he's out here saying "yeah I play worse at home because I'm SC-SC-SC-SC-SCAAAARED of Philadelphia fans?" fuckin really?
soundingline.bsky.social
did....did Nick Castellanos really blame the Philadelphia fans for losing?

a self pubbed Dan Ford book is likely to be a badly edited POS with a stock cover and terrible design. I'm p sure I can't afford the cover artist who did the other three, for one thing.

...the first time I went to my new eye doctor location every single person working there was extremely hot. it felt like some kind of programmed sales tactic.

I still believe in these books even if not a single other person in publishing does, and I really wish I could bring you the next 3 Aelis books but I don't have the heart or skills to self pub successfully
soundingline.bsky.social
Dream kinda crashed and burned but that happened. Eleven year old Dan would lose his shit completely if I were able to tell him "hey, you're published by the same publisher as Robert Jordan."

....keep your eyes peeled to this spot. Can't/not saying anything YET but something is in the offing

I have one, a, singular, extra ticket to the MD Renn Fest for this Saturday.

Paladin series would be tough shipping to Canada as in the US I've been doing them media mail. When I looked at int'l shipping for this kind of package it was _steep_, like starting at $40 for shipping alone.

I got the girl with big titties and I just think that's a serious miscasting

Having singlehandedly dragged a fridge up the staircase to the red door seen here I cannot IMAGINE going 4 floors.
a street of brick houses with steep stairways to the front door
soundingline.bsky.social
Yeah I can see that being a problem...but when the mail is moving again I'm happy to send you some!
soundingline.bsky.social
Thank you! It does, and I appreciate it. If you read physical copies and would like signed bookplates, always happy to mail those out

in 2007, steve jobs promised an all-in-one device that would serve as a cell phone, an ipod, and an internet device. what he introduced next was the Mac Pack: a 135-pound backpack with a pull-over steel dome housing a computer monitor, a 14-foot aerial antenna, and a 900-foot retractable power cable
