Love it when a plan comes together.
This is a dumb thesis written by a person that needs the clicks to feel something. This is an inherently racist country, but the south has institutionalized it in such a way that to even say it is more racist as a collective is considered bad form for southerners.
No. I spent plenty of time in the south and the last time I saw a Confederate flag out in the open it was hanging in a window in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Racists in the northeast are not better or less racist.

I often think how much "whats the matter with kansas" and the dumb Vance booked busted political journalism in this country, and then the dumb profiles of shitty writers published by failsons reminds me that it has always been broken.

We simply do not have to engage in tankie vs NYT op-ed writer discourse. We can be a proper website.

Shocking that this person would defend weird sex stuff with underage girls.

I'm not sure we needed the files to know that the major media has been in on it because they already hadn't been talking about the billions in graft, but I guess additional context is helpful?

At random i think of Madison Cawthorn, and while he was a toady to MAGA 1.0, he also was cut loose rather quickly by that power structure when he was naive enough to think that more people would want the creeps exposed.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

Whilst im sure there is a lot of truth in this stuff (especially over familiar weird shorthand); I'd remind people that you can type anything into an email and hit send.

And also, agents of agents of agents.
Yeah again I would be careful about taking the boasts of this guy as a given fact.
A whole lotta liberals who were willing to take Epstein’s money turning off their phones tonight.

The deal with the rich is that they are often exclusively surrounded by other rich people who are often extremely stupid and so they have no idea that they are also stupid, and then we just have to realize that being intelligent is not an indicator of success and we are rules by idiots.

The thing about populism is that sometimes there are true believers in that pile that the cynics don't think are true believers and it blows up in your face.
a lot has been written about how elected republicans are no longer the people who use right wing media to rile up the base, they are the most rabid consumers of that media themselves

sometimes that has very funny results

More people need to understand that Melville was a 19th century meme troll.

My favorite thing about Maine is that it has really cool lighthouses and reliably shitty politicians.

Never beating the ‘Bitch Mom Democrats’ versus ‘Cool Dad Republicans’ theory of American politics

The late 20th/early 21st century model of thermostatic politics no longer works, and yet poasters brain and the major media keep falling into the trap that there are one weird tricks to get us out of this moment, which then leads our politicians to act like they have to come up with one weird trick.

Again, proving the fact that being an Independent senator that caucuses with dems is a sure sign of sucking.
King: So I believe that we are closer tonight to a vote on the ACA tax credits than we were this morning. This agreement tonight is a win for the American people.

I think people would be wise to read up on the 1850s and the 1920s as a portent for what this country looks like with feckless oppositional leadership and gird themselves for what comes next.

I genuinely believe that Agile development methodologies, which are designed to primarily release A product so that devs can maintain their spot as God's in the tech hierarchy, instead of releasing the RIGHT product for all potential stakeholders, is at the core of a lot of these issues.
i think about this way too much - how tech companies act vs. “legacy” companies that produce consumer goods, news, media or entertainment.
Six people died from tampered Tylenol and the company pulled 30 million bottles off the market. ChatGPT is accused of urging seven people towards suicide, and OpenAI just assures us they’re still working out the kinks. Billions in investment, zero accountability.

This is a salient point, but I also think we should stop recommending ways for the GOP to fix their strategies on main. Let them implode.
If I was a GOP strategist, I’d be pretty worried about diluting my safe +15 districts into a bunch of +5 gerrymandered districts after tonight.

I will never not find it funny that the "bot" account who migrated Ezra Klein's dumb Twitter takes blocks people for calling him dumb.

Sure doesn't seem like a bot to me, Mr. Open Debate.

Also seems like its not time for Nicholas Romano, 40, to not be a massive dipshit.
I'm calling for a total and complete shutdown of polarization theory in lay discourse until we can find out what's going on

The Sandwich Guy trial is another piece of evidence for "Most Fascists are giant pathetic weenies and they know it, and hope to punish you if you rightfully laugh at them."

So third way is just 1991 GOP, right?
Here at Third Way we’re bad at history, but don’t worry – we’re worse at math
