I genuinely believe that Agile development methodologies, which are designed to primarily release A product so that devs can maintain their spot as God's in the tech hierarchy, instead of releasing the RIGHT product for all potential stakeholders, is at the core of a lot of these issues.
i think about this way too much - how tech companies act vs. “legacy” companies that produce consumer goods, news, media or entertainment.

This is a salient point, but I also think we should stop recommending ways for the GOP to fix their strategies on main. Let them implode.
If I was a GOP strategist, I’d be pretty worried about diluting my safe +15 districts into a bunch of +5 gerrymandered districts after tonight.

If you ever read about why some people becsme nazis a lot of its boils down to they were too stupid to know what the nazis were doing and they wanted adjacency to power and then once they realized it they were in too deep, but by that point they had surrendered all power.

I've a general rule in life in that most people get the most offended the closer you get to their ugly truth.
The fact that being called nazis is the thing they fixate on as the most offensive, over being called a criminal, etc is informative.

Our entire information system has been highjacked for ad revenue and the ongoing effect of this is that billions of people believe the absolutely dumbest shit because the box in their pocket said so because they like to click and read random articles during their commutes and dont question it.
It might seem ridiculous, but when legit news publications share it, then a platform like Ladbible picks it up and shares it with 51M fans on Facebook, which then filters down into the AI slop, which then moves into the TL of people who don't have critical thinking skills ... that's harm.
