I chose a semi-vague Italian Renaissance era fantasy setting for Render to Silver because I feel it's a time where you can really lean into classical decadence & luxury. Plus it was fun!

Tell me about your work more grounded in the historical. What drew you to that setting? What things did you learn? #WritingPrompt

I chose the Edwardian era for Mere Flesh because I always wanted to write a sexy period drama with the weird societal rules heightening some of the tension. I learned it was a lot of frippery to keep track of, I'll tell you that much. 💀

eyyy paperback cover. honestly obsessed with how in your face the yellow is, bring on the heat delirium.
A graphic hastily put together in Canva that shows The Starving Saints’ paperback cover. The background of the cover is a bright yellow, the sun has become hot pink compared to the original’s gold, and the text is in black and white. The weird nun with the hive frame and the screaming faces under her wimple is still the same. Around the cover are some hex grids in yellow and hot pink grunge texture. The paperback’s release date is announced as may 5, 2026.

agony (rendering something really well only to have to cover it up) 🦈 a little Eridanys WIP
procreate screenshot of a cropped, illustrated naked masculine chest same crop as previous screenshot, but the nice rendering is beneath a handful of dark layers

Garner for Gold is neroli, jasmine, & something that smells expensive with a rich scent profile like frankinscence & myrrh.

Render to Silver is basil, copal, & wine. An additional whiff of candied lemon might occur.

A Song for the Road is probably straight pumpkin spice & maybe cedarwood haha

🍏 the panic that comes with realizing the life you & others planned for yourself isn't the one you want
