A lot of talk has been spent on Texas' gerrymander, which (in a world with something like 2024's electorate) was meant to lock in a 8D–30R delegation.
But in a best-case scenario for Ds (Beto's 2022 electorate), that snaps to 11D–3S–24R. (Still ridiculous for a 49% D – 51% R election.)

Anyone have any hot political takes tonight?
I'll start: Zoning is an illegal taking under the 5th amendment unless there is a clear governmental purpose. (e.g. prohibiting unhealthy industry near housing).
Limiting what colors a property owner can paint their property is not a valid purpose.

The Trump administration just confirmed that they'll cut SNAP benefits by 50% this month.
If you're able, I'd ask folks to join me in giving to your local food bank — they won't be able to fill the gap that SNAP is about to leave, but every meal given in charity is a moral good.
