2025 wrapped. It was a challenging year: I spent a lot of time in hospitals with my dad and I didn't get to finish projects. Well, I made the best out of it. And I am grateful that Institutions trust me with fun projects despite die AI bubble taking up more and more space in our lives. #paleoart

Fellow artists-please sign your work.
Not like a dr signature, that’s fine of course, but more importantly could you put your name or site on the back of your prints? Doing more framing to decorate n the amount of times I find something I love but have no clue who made it and would want more 🙃

I remember visiting the "Comics! Mangas! Graphic Novels!" exhibition in the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn 2017. Original A3 and A2 inking pages with things whitened out or fixed with a piece of paper glued over mistakes. So freeing to see. I will post some if I am able to find them again.
I just became aware of this incredibly relatable drawing by John Singer Sargent.

Slightly different AI thing: I can't even watch the interview on BlueSky bc due to Youtube's default auto-AI-dubbing it feels like watching a deep fake. WHY, Youtube?! I thought us Germans switching to EN at the drop of a hat in a conversation with non-German mothertongue people is a meme?!

Kurt Vonnegut’s definition of what makes something “art” is one of my favorites I’ve seen - from a letter to his brother in 1995.

Practice tool: Analyse it and then draw it from memory!
1. Draw the ref and analyse it (I used an anatomy book for the muscles).
2. When done, draw it again from memory!
3. Correct the mistakes.
An immensely helpful excercise, might make you cry first, but will cement the knowledge.
