My advice: Stick to the MSQ until you unlock tycoon lv 2 and get a car, exploring is kind of rough on foot, and stealing a car is a massive hassle. (And will get you sent to prison)
You can swap MC gender once a day after you do a quest to unlock the function, under settings.

Something I don't think was in the previous test - you can go to prison now. And it sucks ass, but you can thug it out and serve your time for free. (Or escape early, but I don't know how it goes because I kept getting caught due to lag)

His fight is actually optional, the fog door doesn't appear until you actively engage, so you can just dodge some opening attacks and leave
