The Charles River by our house is lightly frozen over and has a coating of snow. Ice is not thick enough to skate on yet but it looks pretty.

It’s October and it’s the season of the hunter. 3 pictures of 2 different nebulas in Orion. The first one is the Orion nebula, and it is known as the middle star in the sword sheath though it is not a star. The next two are the Horsehead nebula, and it is by the last star on the left of the belt.

Well the weather has not been cooperating this weekend to try to get a good picture of Lemmon R2. The clouds are finally clearing out so I hope to get a better picture tomorrow night. There was a lot of mesospheric haze when I tried it on Tuesday night.

Well, it looks like I am fucked, and not in a good way, for pictures of 2 comets in the sky at once on the 20th and 21st of Oct.. 100% cloud coverage with 70% chance of rain.
It looks like the 18th and 19th will be clear nights. Look to the northwest after sunset low on horizon for Lemmon.
