When the Seahawks needed a critical catch in the NFC Championship game they turned to... the best WR in LA Rams history.

Before Super Bowl LX, I wrote about Yakima's own Cooper Kupp and his journey from 0-star recruit to EWU legend to Super Bowl MVP to Seahawk.

1.5 TRILLION. That's the military budget they want for 2027.
We already spend more than the next 20 countries put together.

So in the past week we've invaded a sovereign nation and murdered a woman in cold blood on the streets of Minnesota, and now they want 50% more money for weapons. Fuck.

As long as the healthcare industry in the US operates wholly on the economic side of govt, it will remain too expensive. The entire goal of a universal healthcare system should be to move as much of the process to the service side of govt, and remove as much of the profit, as possible.
December 31, 2025 at 5:53 AM
@mcuban.bsky.social a UHC system basically removes nearly all the profit from the process. The major insurers and pharma have the highest margins. Why can’t we start by applying the ACA to everyone and reduce the profit incentive? Over time the major stakeholders would migrate to other channels.

Who would want to live in a country run by someone with so little compassion? How the Rs can remain silent about such a heinous post in the public sphere is beyond insulting or disgraceful.

The govt in the 50’s took in substantial taxes from the wealthy individuals and corps; over 50% in some cases. The US was strong in every way except in terms of social equality. Since then, the Rs have whittled down govt spending for social causes so today we have low taxes and many issues. Duh

By squeezing the wealth out of the middle class, the top layers of wealth either eat their own tail by limiting the buying power of their primary revenue sources; or they create a self-sufficient class of super-wealthy families that ultimately influence politics. Both are destructive, not productive
As Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis stated in 1933; “We can have democracy in this country or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of the few, but we cannot have both.”

Today, at a time of unprecedented income & wealth inequality, his words ring truer than ever.

Schumer and every D that voted to reopen this farcical government - with the “carrot” of extending the ACA deduction - should be pressured to resign or primaried. Shame on them. The American families who needed this will suffer because of their lack of leadership and integrity.

I repeat: as long as he gets his, he has little interest in making anything “better”, let alone actively running a country. While millions are facing a bleak holiday season, his personal economy is doing just fine.

Every college coach in the US should study the men’s basketball coach, Mark Few, at Gonzaga. With a student enrollment of 7,500, and located in a quiet little place, he consistently brings quality players in and plays top tier hoops. Once again, he has them near the top ten in the nation. Unreal.
