I’ve found it a bit cheaper now: £19.95 at Superdrug. Although they repeatedly cancelled appointments for the past two years and that rather soured me on the brand. Boots is £21.95, but doesn’t offer it locally.

We’ve had years and years of this bullshit. My kingdom for a government that understands the basics about which industries we excel at and the benefits of soft power. But no. Let’s squash the arts further and now even demonise English, because it’s not like those things ever make any money.

Not to mention performing arts! The UK has some of the best talent in the world in film and TV. Not just actors but producers, lighting, ADs, makeup, costume, casting. High-end production companies come from around the world to make stuff here. Performing arts is a *massive industry for Britain*.

Calling English a 'rip-off degree' is one of the most blatant exhibitions of personal barbarism I've ever seen. You've demonstrated nothing but the poverty of your own mind.

I’m sure we can all look forward to the JCVI acting all shocked when there’s a massive covid spike this winter and way more people hospitalised and dying than expected. Quite why it’s not basically aligned with flu, I don’t know. (Although even fly around here has shot up – 25 quid now.)

75+ or immunosuppressed only now for covid. So even my parents, in their early 70s, will be paying £100 a pop. It’s insane. Yet anyone over 50 is urged to get a flu jab. (JCVI now basically arguing covid is “relatively mild” and akin to a cold.)

It's absolutely nuts. How do they not understand our economy? The creative industry adds £124bn to the economy. Universities contribute £265bn. Sea fishing is variable but hovers around £500mn, ie £0.5bn. Steel is £1.8bn direct, £2.4 indirect (via supply chains).

These people simply cannot count.

I know I have some legal folks who follow me (hello!) – and so would anyone here be up for commenting on a tech piece about liability and privacy regarding family sharing? If so, please DM or email me.

Also, I find it incredible that successive governments keep trying to knacker industries where the UK punches above its weight, such as an awful lot of the arts.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

Good luck! Trying to find where’s best to get one here in Blighty. (And it’s going to be spendy…)

Amazing news. Congratulations!

“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

“let's build this new order”

Pfft. They were never the same after Hooky left.

I suspect when Jenrick imagined saying the final words "let's build this new order, let's take our country back," his voice BOOMED and the roar of the crowd was DEAFENING. In the event, his voice cracked and was met with the politeness of a local baking contest won by "a not-bad lemon drizzle". ~AA

And you can create multi-line ones on Mac that come across. (Not sure you can do multi-line on iPadOS 26. You certainly couldn’t last time I tried to.)

This whole incident has been deeply weird.

Could feasibly end up in a weird scenario where there’s enough support for national policy (if SNP agrees) but England-only policy becomes a massive problem to pass because Con+Ref > Lab+LD+G.

So on board with Instagram and actually all social media having an 'Elder Millennial Mode' that just does the thing it was originally for 😅

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

At least they didn’t say “Luke playing Zool the Hedgehog on an Atari SNES.”

Anyone with half a brian would have spotted that typo.

It helps to be able to spell the country you say only you are competent enough to run.
Goody-bag merch from Tory Conference branded "When Labour negotiates Britian loses" and signed "Kemi Badenoch".

Good. I do hope a reasonable level of pragmatism remains between the two parties and their voters. Local Greens supported our Lib Dem MP, wrenching the bulk of this seat from Tory hands for the first time in over a century. Both parties have plenty of policy overlap.

The Greens requested an interview on the Laura Kuenssberg Show with Zack Polanski when he was elected leader, but were denied, with a promise to interview him during Green conference instead.

This was then scrapped citing the Manchester synagogue attack. Polanski is both Jewish and from Manchester

I still wonder at the lack of punny headlines using Badenough. It’s right there, Shirley.
