When do we transition from “rapidly moving towards authoritarianism” to “definitely arrived”? I think it depends on who you are. The immigrant deported w/o due process? The prof terminated for speech? The workers fired by DOGE w/o regard to their contracts? They’re mired in the ick of lawlessness.

#AlexAlott was charged with allegedly assaulting a federal officer with an umbrella. Yesterday, she was exonerated because VIDEO disproved the accusation. But Daniel, who attended the trial to support her, was detained the same day that the trial finished.

Yesterday I was told that the class I’m scheduled to teach this month, Confronting Oppression & Injustice, is no longer part of our curriculum. This is a required class yet there was no discussion, no faculty vote, just an email saying the class no longer exists. This is what it’s like in Texas now.

Take a look at what corporations make the groceries that you buy! Ask them why the portions are smaller!? And the prices 50% higher for most of the products? Then when the prices at stores will go back to “at least” pre pandemic prices! Stop price gouging the people
