Somebody who has worked tirelessly for the cause no longer feels safe in the community that they started and is experiencing a mental health crisis. Please have some respect.
crips-against-cuts.bsky.social
We are all working towards the same goal - fighting the benefit cuts. Bullying and ableism is the opposite of what CAC was supposed to be about. AI is used in much more harmful ways than somebody using it as an access tool to fight for their own liberation.
crips-against-cuts.bsky.social
We are aware of the dangers of AI, and are developing systems that allow artists within our community to easily submit graphics / posters. However, if somebody needs to use AI in order to contribute, then we value their contributions as much as anybody else’s.
crips-against-cuts.bsky.social
The member of our community who was on the receiving end of the harassment - which included doxxing and d*ath threats - uses AI as an access tool, and these posts have been integral to our movement. We will never attack somebody for using an aid
wheelerdax.bsky.social
When you find out a disability rights organisation has been using AI to generate social media content, and when called out claims it's an accessibility tool and says the criticism is harassment.
This is precisely why so many disabled people are jaded with these organisations.

This "debate" about who should use what toilet doesn’t benefit anyone. It doesn’t fix the underfunding of women's refuges, NHS waiting lists leaving women in terrible pain, mums skipping meals to feed their kids. How about we get on with tackling the real issues affecting women?

#PIP

The toxic DWP are sending out a vile survey asking disabled people in receipt of PIP spend their money

They have no legal right to ask & you have no legal obligation to fill it in!
Image is on a blue background with purple & blue text
The DWP Survey on how recipients are spending their pip money is being sent out

So how should you respond?

Option A: The DWP have no legal right to this information and you have no legal obligation to provide them with this information. Their aim is to further stigmatise disability benefits and invalidate disabled people’s experiences

Option B: Respond with Opposition

Respond with a letter of opposition highlighting the injustices of the proposed changes and their injustices

Remember; give no information on how you spend your personal independence payments
