As a former prosecutor, I know a grand jury would indict a ham sandwich. The grand jury’s refusal today to indict Letitia James shows this case should never have been brought.

If the AI people were smart, they'd be building their data centers with massive solar panels and could generate all the energy they need without destroying the grid. So far I haven't seen any evidence that they're all that smart, though. I'd bet their AIs could figure this out for them.

Sure, at the risk of welcoming a pile on- i think there is real usage but if you care about water its nowhere near the worst use. I think its used as a stand in metaphor for AI consuming lots of capital and resources but water itself is probably fine
