One of the women who travels around fighting to make life miserable for trans people testifies all the time that her daughter’s team lost because of a trans athlete on the other team, despite there being no trans athletes in either team at the game she’s referencing.

These people are delusional.

If NYTimes had done just a modicum of critical investigation, they would've easily seen that Rufo's disingenuous claims of plagiarism were cover for white nationalism and eugenics.

But wait, even if bad actors were behind it, did Claudine Gay not still plagiarize? We assess the substance of the plagiarism allegations against her in detail, looking at concrete examples, placing it all in its actual academic and disciplinary context. Friends, there is no there there.
It was also part of an attempt to re-capture the institutions of American life that “the Left” has supposedly hijacked - something that far-right activists like Christopher Rufo, who orchestrated this campaign, are obsessed with: They dream of a reactionary “counter-revolution.”
