Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

The Senate will vote on the DHS funding bill next week and it can’t pass without Democratic votes.

That means Democrats have real leverage to rein in ICE, but they won’t use it unless we force them to.

Other commenters have brought up the fact that the contract limits the CARE team's ability to respond to crisis calls to extremely narrow conditions and gives police, not CARE, to decide whether CARE can go out on a call or if police must respond.

My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.
