I live in Hampton Wick and I work in London. My current profile pic shows some aubergines which I am very proud to say I grew at home. 😊

Great news! The blaring disco from pedicabs has turned Soho (in particular) into a hen night special at weekends.
The new rules that will govern pedicabs in London have been published today and will regulate pedicabs and ban them from playing loud music as they ply the streets.

Did you know? 🌳 From the mid-1800s to WWII, Londoners gathered in Bushy Park on Chestnut Sunday to admire the blooming chestnut trees. The tradition was revived in the 1970s by Colin and Mu Pain with help from the Hampton Wick Association!

Yes. Ukraine is paying with the lives and limbs of its people to weaken and contain Putin who is a danger to the whole world. Any financial contribution that the rest of us make to this effort can never "match-fund" that, and it is morally bankrupt to suggest it.
It is not Zelensky and Ukraine that should be thanking the West.

Excellent and important article on how liberal / progressive governments can succeed, and indeed are succeeding in Denmark today. Don't be freaked by "stricter immigration policies" - that's the point, get past the labels. A long read, but very well worth it. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/24/m...
How Denmark’s Social Democrats Are Succeeding With Stricter Immigration Policies (Gift Article)
Around the world, progressive parties have come to see tight immigration restrictions as unnecessary, even cruel. What if they’re actually the only way for progressivism to flourish?

It’s time for THE charger.
Today, the USB-C becomes officially the common standard for charging new mobile electronic devices in the EU.
It means better-charging technology, reduced e-waste, and less fuss to find the chargers you need!
