It is absolutely intolerable that the Labour Government has another committed transphobe as their preferred candidate as new head of the EHRC.
I rather doubt that the Women's and Equalities Committee has even been consulted.

It's really clear from this selection that the Labour government has no intention of appointing someone who is willing to develop a strategy for equality that can integrate the needs of all protected groups
As the government's preferred EHRC leadership candidate, Mary-Ann Stephenson will have to meet with the Women and Equalities Committee prior to her appointment. One thing people can do is email members of the committee and ask them to scrutinise her position on transphobia.
