In case it wasn't clear, Tambo was an actual live human being. He died a year later in O frickin Hio, USA of all places. His remains were displayed until they were returned to his land in 1994.

Humans and circuses are so cruel in ways I can't even fathom... This is why truth, reconciliation, and Land Back are so important. Also, all travel content creators should be doing land acknowledgments, IMHO.

This happened to me when I moved from Alaska, US to Munich, Germany. It was so wild to just safely walk outside at night along a darker alley. It took a while for it to turn off, but when it did... Amazing. I now live in Canada and enjoy the same general peace of mind.
