Hi I’m Cozy. I love horror and all things creepy, crawly and curious. I am most fond of 80’s campy horror, slashers and splatter movies. Not many people in my life are, so I created this space to talk about it. I also love cats and tattoos and enjoy going to concerts, mostly alternative music.

Perhaps not exactly what BJ is referring to, but it brought a thought to the fore I’ve had lately. I wish people understood when a film uses a social issue as a theme, that doesn’t require the film to be propaganda in support of that issue. A messy film abt sexism/ageism is more appealing to me.

I feel like my life is only being held together by isotonic drinks, paracetamol, horror movies and Ipad coloring pages this week.

One of the things I LOVE about dvd’s: the menu’s, special features, end credits without a new movie starting. The experience is elite.

I’m super sick so I’ve been binging through all my dvd’s. Not the worst day after all

I was watching Bride of Chucky because I own the dvd and I feel like I should at least watch every dvd I own. However I was so pleasantly surprised by this movie. Really stupid in a good way.

Okay, so now for my complaining. I respect peoples preferences and triggers. If you don’t like something, don’t watch it. If something will hurt you by triggering you, definitely don’t watch it. What I don’t understand is blaming movies, especially horror movies, for you being triggered. (1/?)

Movies I watched over and over as a child (heavily influenced by what we had on video or dvd)

Alice in Wonderland
The Secret of NIMH
Anastasia
The Little Mermaid 2 (straight to video)
Jumanji
Peter Pan life action (I was in love with him)
Mulan
Mulan 2 (straight to video)
Atlantis the Lost Empire
Movies I watched over and over as a child 😊

📦 Kiki’s Delivery Service
📚 Matilda
🏴‍☠️ The Goonies
🌳 Castle in the Sky
🎲 Jumanji
👻 Casper
🪽 Ever After
🎃 Nightmare Before Christmas
Going all the way back to childhood, what movie have you watched start to finish the most times?

Possible answers for me:
Night of the Comet
Better Off Dead
Overboard (the original)
Clue
9 to 5

Those are all from way way back, latchkey kid with cable, and number 30-50 times each I’m guessing.

Also through looking up info about this movie I found out Wes Craven isn’t with us anymore. This is not news but I only somewhat recently rekindled my love for (horror) movies so it is news to me. I am very sad, this man is my hero for making A Nightmare on Elm Street ❤️

Watching The Hills Have Eyes (2006) tonight. It’s good so far. The Letterboxd reviews however, are already pissing me off
