Update!!!
I was able to resolve the situation for this month with everyone's help. Im keeping this up to continue to raise money for next month when I plan to move but until then, I've bought myself some time to plan my next move.

I'm currently in a very rough spot. Initially I was just a few hundred dollars short on rent and when trying to negotiate some leeway with my landlord, they were very not chill about the situation and escalated things to a point where I now have to find a whole new place to live.

While there are laws to protect tenants, if the landlord doesn't follow those laws then there isnt much you can do other than take someone to small claims court. When I spoke to my landlord and tried to calm him down he started boasting about how he's already been to prison 3 times lmao
