I got this Gameboy Lego set for my birthday and finally had a chance to build it. Some really interesting techniques in this kit that I have never seen before. Really smart and super fun to build!

My son asked me why I split panels like this sometimes and I explained each panel as a unit of time and so a split like this represents a slow camera pan rather than reveling an entire scene at once.

I love the dolly camera effect of bifurcating the frame. I remember the old As Spring Dawns comic where you didn't divide the vertical panning.

I use clip studio and draw on an iPad when I travel for PAX shows. They are nice but don't have the feel of a professional drawing tablet.

@xppenusa.bsky.social I picked up an Artist Ultra 16 and get "no signal/power saving mode" tried everything I could find online (wish I had known what a common problem this was before purchase) and after almost three hours of troubleshooting with no luck I am ready to return this thing.
