Just watched the YUNGBLUD Smashing Pumpkins video for a song called Zombie (not that one) and like... why do you need 4 guitars for this song? It's a 4/4 measure with one note each beat and YUNGBLUD keeps making duckface and I think it just sucks.

The biggest sin of the Mega Man Legacy Collections is not having the ability to change the button mapping cuz the Mega Man Zero series has the worst control scheme in the entire fucking franchise.

I've been trying to read more, and while it's not a staggering amount, the books I've read this year are, "Blood Meridian" Cormac McCarthy, "The Only Good Indians" Stephen Graham Jones, "Pines" Blake Crouch, "Stolen Tongues" Felix Blackwell, "The Descent" James Long, and "SEED" Ania Ahlborn.

Last night I was going on about the Frankenstein movie. I still am because the "who is the real monster" takes are insane. In the movie, it's Victor. In the books, it's both. Victor is a monster by blind ambition. The creature is a monster of circumstance.

So much of what I'm seeing online about the movie is like... tell me you never read the book without telling me. That, or you misunderstood it greatly.

Watched Del Toro's Frankenstein. I had a good time with it and I enjoyed it quite a bit. That said, there were some choices made throughout that I don't necessarily agree with and some changes to the core story that majorly affect and negate the philosophy of the original novel. Spoilers below.

Spent some time last night catching up on all the horror game trailers I haven't been keeping up with, and a lot of it looks phenomenal. Last Report stood out to me, Routine looks atmospheric as hell, and Hellmart looks fucked. There's a lot more coming out but I want all of it.

I hadn't heard of Qzilla, the production company behind Crunchyroll's Sekiro anime. The trailer okay, but something felt kind of off. Looked them up on MAL and they didn't seem to have much motion in terms of the thirteen things its produced. Checked the company website and lo and behold.

Originally planned as a DLC and snowballed into something much bigger. I know this team has put a large part of their souls into this one, I just hope that it can live up to the insane expectations everyone has set for it after 6 years. I'm ready for it.
Maybe a hot take but 28 Years Later was a solid 6/10 for me. A lot of it dragged to me with some great moments dotted in throughout and an ending with wild tonal whiplash. Didn't love it, but that's not to say I'm not looking forward to the sequel.
