Labour's new immigration laws are insane. Vacancies in hospitality are huge. No Brits want to work/start businesses in hospo. No biz help in training young people. I don't blame folk for shunning a career in hospo - I blame pathetically low wages/long hours/poor health outcomes on inept politicians

Somedays I just drink coffee & sigh.

Anyone who attacks NHS staff is a good for nothing, gutless coward. It's absolutely shameful that we have to spell this out for the idiots who do this. Violence is never the answer - especially towards those who care for us.

The Wrexham FC effect just shows how small towns in the grip of economic & social depression can rebound with (in terms of big town/City budgets) minimal investment. Great news that the gvt is finally seeing the potential of this investment. Needs a helluva lot more, but it's a start.

I mean... Who is taking a rod walloping to the edge of danger? Also, who isn't wearing a seatbelt in this day & age? I'd call this an accelerated act of natural selection if it wasn't so tragic.
Imagine your last interaction on this earth being the awkward eye contact you make with some pedestrian as you fly out the sunroof mid tug like a wanking pop up pirate

For the innocent, the vulnerable, & the traumatised... we need peace & a ceasefire - NOW.

This hairless abomination of an ex-copper encapsulates all of my disgust, horror, pain, & anger in Australia RN.

Insanity. Pretty sure the Iron Lady will be turning in her grave. That & the rest of us post 600°C rise in temp...

Ahhhh... those magical pay rises I've never seen. At times like these, I think... it must be comfoting to live in a coin-filled bank vault like Scrooge McDuck.

Quote by Sun Tzu - who literally wrote the book on all things war. Hands up if you think IDF/Hamas should sit down to tea & stop this madness. Bring that fat-head Putin along, too.

The news is horrible. The potential for anything of adding anything positive to the morass of negativity is fairly low. War is actual hell. Actual, 24-hour, daily/nightly hell. Please pray, donate, write letters to editors etc & push for peace, hope, & healing for ALL victims of conflict.

The Star Trek TNG video bootlegger kind of loser. I also *starred* as a creative writer, Art freak, & a dual sport jock. Very confused kid. Very confused adult.
I can’t imagine any Bsky early adopter was cool in high school, so what kind of loser were you?

Bluesky, what's up? Barrelling into the weekend with coffee roasted by Girls Who Grind, & produced by the Kirindera Women's Peace Coffee - a collective of farms in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). Deliciously sweet & rich Maple syrup notes, floral pops of Rose, & acid-sweetness of Rhubarb.

Morning, bluesky. What coffee are you drinking/chugging/injecting yourself with today?
Highly recommend this delicious Peruvian number from old friends over at Rumble Coffee Roasters, Melbourne.

Ahh... that feeling of a true crime marathon ending up at 0111 with me in a mildly paranoid state. 😂🤦‍♂️

Today's brew: A knockout Panamanian coffee from Axil Coffee Roasters based in Melbourne, Australia. This Pacamara is super complex in flavour, with burstingly sweet Purple Grape, Cherry, Plum round-mouth feel & acidity, with rich but restrained Cacao structure. If you can get it, GET IT. #coffeesky

Decadent dinner - 4 cheese (St Agur, Grana Padano, regular old cheddar, & Scamorza) pasta bake. Side of British Asparagus. Pretty tough life... 😅👍

Loud AF. Perfectly lively & zippy coffee for a gray day.

Morning, Bluesky! Last days of Summer in the UK now.... predictably, it's gloomy, or Graysky if you will.

Don't know why I bother with Uber Eats. Its 99% cold, late, & incorrect. AND I have to chase them for a refund, which they seem determined to keep. If you know Star Trek, you'll know the (ultra-capitalists) Ferengi - their first rule 'Once you have their money, never give it back'. Quite apt, Uber.
