This misunderstand the problem. Prominent Republicans have been calling to Defund the FBI since 2023. Many establishment Republicans spoke out against this messaging and national media did cover it but as @michaelhobbes.bsky.social has said voters don't form opinions this way. Slogans are slogans

Maybe cheap, maybe not. Completely fair for Dems to demand an investigation of whether Trump’s lawless, destabilizing blitz against the civil service, and his cronification of the Pentagon contributed to the accident in any way. Completely.
Sounds like a cheap hit. But maybe it wasn’t a great time to freeze hiring of new air traffic controllers for no reason why there was already a shortage. I’m not sure this is a stretch.

Grateful that a judge saw this order for what it is — and now we get to wait for more litigation and to see if the Republican payoffs to SCOTUS means that they will provide cover for the admin by blocking orders or if they let fascism move forward. Either way, Americans lose.
This is a small sigh of relief from the chaos and damage caused by Trump’s dangerous actions.
But we already know that essential services are being disrupted by the confusion and lawlessness of Trump’s power grab, so keep calling your Members of Congress.
