The point of writing crap is not that you should barf out anything.

The entire time I was writing it I was like "oh my god this sucks, I suck, this is terrible" and I was making a list of all the ways it sucked.

and my immediate response is that i can’t imagine a future where i can engage with the question of whether ai is human because what is far more material is the amount of people with material motives to convince me that is true. i’ll always be asking “why do you *want* me to believe ai is smart?”
