I decided to go out w a random guy in Kenya on my last day and on my way back there was a storm that flooded the expressway and I almost missed my flight 😭 I just know the rest of my family told my grandma already, and I bet it will be the first thing she brings up when I see her tomorrow 💀

Swahili and German are the two I want to learn. I wish I had more of an interest in learning Spanish bc it’s by far the most useful and I have many friends I can speak to in Spanish but I just want to learn the others more 😩

I’m so mad bc I started studying Swahili during the pandemic when we all had all the time in the world and of course I fell off, and now five years later I go to Kenya and can’t speak Swahili to people 🥺 I have to learn for when I go back. I’m sick of being monolingual!!!

Checkpoint #1: about 10 mins before you reach the terminal you get out, go through metal detectors, & your driver meets you on the other side. You don’t need to take your luggage out the car.

#2: Standard TSA but you don’t take your shoes off

A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.

All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.

So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!
